Qatar final settlement planner: gratuity, unused leave and notice in one estimate
Three separate amounts usually sit in a Qatar private-sector final settlement: Article 54 end-of-service gratuity (basic wage, flat 21 days per year), unused annual leave under Article 81, and pay in lieu of unserved notice under Article 49. This planner adds those three lines. Every line is an estimate. Deductions, loans and visa costs are out of scope. This is not Metrash, not the Ministry, and not your HR file.
Calculate your estimate
Statutory notice for monthly/annual pay is commonly one month up to five years of service and two months afterwards; only the days you record as unserved are valued here. Confirm against your contract and Al Meezan Article 49.
How each line is worked out
Service years are the calendar days between your two dates divided by 365. Gratuity uses Article 54: after one completed year, last basic wage times 21/30 times service years (flat 21 days, not the UAE 21/30 split). Unused leave values each day at basic/30 (Article 81 planning). Notice values each unserved day at remuneration/30 (Article 49 planning). All three are estimates.
Worked example
Basic QAR 8,000, remuneration QAR 8,000, 3 years 4 months (about 3.33 years), 5 unused leave days, 30 unserved notice days. Gratuity about 8,000 x 21/30 x 3.33 = QAR 18,667. Leave 5 x (8,000/30) = QAR 1,333. Notice 30 x (8,000/30) = QAR 8,000. Total planning figure about QAR 28,000. Estimate only.

FAQs
Does this include loans or visa deductions?
No. Treat the total as a planning ceiling. The employer record and competent authority control the final amount.
Why is Qatar gratuity not 21 days then 30 days?
Article 54 is a flat three weeks (21 days) per year. The 21-then-30 pattern is UAE Article 51. Mixing them overstates a long Qatar service.
What if I served part of my notice?
Enter only the unserved days. Served days are not payable as pay in lieu.
Is this an official settlement?
No. It is a statutory-minimum planning figure. Confirm Al Meezan Articles 54, 49 and 81 and your contract before you sign.
