Our method

How Gulf Expat Tools verifies calculators

Employment and immigration rules are consequential. We design every calculator to show scope, source and limitations—not just a number.

Primary sources first

  • Government legislation portals, labour ministries and social-insurance authorities are our starting point.
  • Every tool page links to its relevant source.
  • Where a single public rule is not sufficient, we use a manual-review flag instead of inventing certainty.

Transparent product rules

  • Labels distinguish basic wage, last wage and remuneration.
  • Output explains the formula and assumptions used.
  • Review dates and calculation versions make maintenance visible.

Correction workflow

  • Send the authority source URL, effective date and affected page through Contact Us.
  • We assess whether the source changes the supported scope, calculation or wording.
  • When a change is made, the page review date and calculation version are updated.

Editorial boundaries

  • We publish educational tools, not personal legal, tax, immigration or financial advice.
  • We do not sell authority decisions or promise an outcome.
  • Commercial relationships, when present, are disclosed separately and do not change a tool result.
