Worked example
Employer sponsor, 45 days to expiry, passport 14 months remaining, health card valid, self-declared clear criminal status, salary certificate and housing contract available: the checker reports Ready to submit and still states that the Ministry of Interior decides. Change passport months to 4 and the same inputs return Gaps found with passport renewal listed first.

Does this checker renew my QID?
No. It only reviews whether the document pack you describe looks complete. Renewal happens in Metrash2, through your sponsor, or at a Ministry of Interior service centre, and the Ministry decides the outcome.
Why does the tool not show a renewal fee?
Because the payable amount depends on route, duration, sponsor and case-specific items we cannot verify for your record. Confirm the current fee in Metrash2 before paying.
My QID already expired. What does the tool say?
It returns a Gaps found headline and tells you to use Metrash2 or the Ministry of Interior channel immediately, because an expired residence permit is handled by the authority and can carry consequences this page does not calculate.
How much passport validity should I have?
This checker flags anything under six months as a gap, because renewal routes commonly expect meaningful passport validity. Confirm the exact requirement for your route with the Ministry of Interior.
Does the criminal-status question decide approval?
No. The self-declaration is only used to route you to the authority. If you select issues or unsure, the checker tells you to see the authority instead of guessing an outcome.
Is a housing contract always required?
This checker asks for it on the employer-sponsor path because accommodation evidence is commonly requested. Family-sponsor and employer-provided-accommodation cases vary, so confirm with the sponsor and the Ministry of Interior.
