Scope of this calculator

Scope in

  • Upfront Saudi rental and utilities move-in budget items.
  • Annual rent, Ejar fee, deposit, broker fee and utility setup you enter.

Scope out

  • Ongoing monthly rent after move in.
  • Municipality or landlord charges not entered as fields.

Worked example

Example only: SAR 40,000 annual rent with the Ejar registration fee, one broker fee and electricity and water setup gives the indicative cash needed on day one.

How this calculator works

Estimated initial cash = first rent instalment + security deposit + brokerage + moving/furniture + internet/setup + progressive residential electricity estimate. Electricity uses SAR 0.18/kWh through 6,000 kWh/month and SAR 0.30/kWh above that level.
