Kuwait Residency Renewal Readiness Checker
Check whether your Kuwait residency (iqama) renewal document pack looks complete before you use Sahel or a Ministry of Interior service centre. This is not an approval and no fee is calculated.
Calculate your estimate
Document-readiness checker only; MOI Residency Affairs decides renewal, document acceptance, duration and any payable fee
On supported formula tools, a complete set of valid inputs refreshes the estimate automatically. You can always use Calculate estimate to review it again.

Scope of this calculator
Scope in
- Private-sector and family-sponsored residency holders preparing a renewal.
- Document-pack completeness: passport validity, civil ID status, salary certificate and housing evidence.
- Timing flags based on the days-to-expiry number you enter.
- Medical and fingerprint steps recorded as yes / no / unsure.
Scope out
- The live government fee, which you must confirm in Sahel or at a service centre.
- Any approval, rejection or overstay-penalty decision, which only the Ministry of Interior makes.
- Domestic-worker, investor, student and other special routes.
- Your actual Ministry of Interior record, which this page cannot read.
Worked example
45 days to expiry, passport 14 months remaining, civil ID valid, salary certificate and housing evidence available, medical and fingerprint done: the checker returns Ready to submit and still tells you to confirm the current fee in Sahel. Change passport months to 4 and the same inputs return Gaps found with passport renewal listed first.
Mini-example: answering unsure to the medical or fingerprint step returns See authority, not a refusal.
How this calculator works
The checker compares your entered facts with document-pack conditions: an expired residency or passport validity under six months are reported as gaps first; a missing civil ID, salary certificate or housing evidence is listed as a missing item; an unsure medical or fingerprint answer routes you to the authority; and only a complete pack with time remaining returns Ready to submit. No fee is calculated.

Common questions
Short answers for using this tool responsibly.
Does this checker renew my Kuwait residency?
No. It only reviews whether the document pack you describe looks complete. Renewal happens in Sahel, through your sponsor, or at a Ministry of Interior service centre, and the Ministry decides.
Why is no renewal fee shown?
The payable amount depends on route, duration and case-specific items we cannot verify for your record. Confirm the current fee in Sahel before paying.
My residency already expired. What happens?
The checker returns Gaps found and tells you to use Sahel or the Ministry of Interior channel immediately. It does not calculate any penalty.
How much passport validity should I have?
Anything under six months is flagged as a gap because renewal routes commonly expect meaningful validity. Confirm the exact requirement for your route.
Why does unsure on medical or fingerprint send me to the authority?
Because whether those steps still apply depends on your route and record, and a checklist should not guess.
