Check the renewal conditions first

Royal Oman Police states that the owner should be free from BOLOs, restrictions and violations, be inside the Sultanate, and hold a valid ID or resident card. A fee estimate cannot override a system restriction.

Understand inspection and delay conditions

ROP identifies private vehicles aged ten years, commercial vehicles, buses, trucks and pickup trucks among the vehicles that may undergo technical inspection. It also says a monthly delay fine is imposed when renewal is delayed more than one month after expiry, according to the service-fee classification.

Use the published fee tier carefully

ROP lists fee tiers by engine capacity, vehicle/equipment type and weight, plus OMR 5 if technical inspection is conducted. Choose the matching category in the calculator and treat the result as a planning estimate, not the final payment screen.

Finish through the live ROP service

The authority service validates vehicle details, accepts a contact number for notification and completes payment through the e-payment route. Confirm your actual payable total and any inspection requirement in the official flow.
