Start with the right wage figure

Use the last basic wage stated in the employment contract for the supported calculator route. Basic wage is not the same as total wage with allowances. Keep the contract, latest payroll record and any wage amendment together before estimating.

Confirm the supported employment route

The public tool is designed for the traditional full-time private-sector gratuity route. Alternative savings schemes, other work types, free-zone rules and special contractual arrangements may need a separate review rather than a simple result.

Prepare service dates and absence information

Enter the actual employment start and end dates, then identify any unpaid absence that the applicable calculation route excludes. Do not use a rounded number of years when the records show specific dates.

Use the result as a documented estimate

The calculator explains its formula, scope and assumptions. Compare the result with the employer’s final settlement and use the linked law source for the authoritative rule. A dispute, uncertain scheme status or unusual termination context should be checked through the competent route.
